COMMITMENT CEREMONIES:

A commitment ceremony is not a legal marriage but apart from the exclusion of the 8 lines of legal wording that is used in a Marriage Ceremony, it is almost identical.

Commitment ceremonies are conducted for a variety of reasons. Perhaps one or both parties might be legally married in the eyes of their religion or culture, but have been long apart from their spouse and no longer living as a married couple yet are unable to divorce.

Some people do not want to be ‘legally bound’ to another but are quite happy to live together in a committed and monogamous relationship, and a commitment ceremony announces your love and promises to each other…and to your community of family and friends.

There is no minimum time frame or period of notice such as is required when planning a wedding, so a commitment can happen at short notice, subject to the availability of all parties involved. Being committed to each other implies love, trust, monogamy and togetherness, and we delight in creating unique ceremonies to announce your love and commitment to your world.
